Yergatla is a mandal in the Nizamabad district of Telangana, India. It is one of the recently formed mandals in the district. It is located within the state of Telangana, and it is part of the Nizamabad district, which has 36 mandals, 3 revenue divisions, and 530 villages.
Yergatla occupies a strategically significant position on the border of Nizamabad District and Karimnagar District (Jagtial region), close to Metpalli to the east.3 The village has a total geographical area of 1,932 hectares and, as per the 2011 Census, a population of 5,852 spread across 1,464 households. It is a designated Gram Panchayat under the Balkonda Assembly and Nizamabad Lok Sabha constituencies.
The village economy is predominantly agricultural, centred on paddy, cotton, and maize. Yergatla is home to eight Hindu temples and two government schools, and is connected to regional centres through National Highway 63.

The village falls within the catchment areas of the Manjira River and the Godavari River, which contribute to agricultural productivity through canal and groundwater irrigation.4
